Let's Talk About

'Let's Talk About' was the project that proceeded 'Seen and Not Heard'. 

Bluestreak delivered workshop schemes with three separate groups of young people with the aim of creating creative works intended to stimulate debate and conversation in young people about themes surrounding teenage pregnancy.

The creative works were then used as stimulus for the creation of the professional production 'Seen and Not Heard'

Creative works produced include:

'Flipside' – A contemporary theatre piece created by students at Preston College which highlighted that there are always two sides to every story and how young people can be misunderstood through stereotype.

 'Dazed' – A radio play/Podcast created by single parent residents and staff from Milbank Court a sheltered housing scheme. This explored teenage pregnancy and the effect of this on relationships.

'Truth or Dare' – A short film created to explore alcohol and drugs and the potential risks involved with misuse of these.

All of these works were showcased at a launch event held at UCLAN, which saw young people from across Lancashire attend.
